Picnic in the Park
THIS SUNDAY!

Immediately following worship
Join us for an (almost) end of summer celebration! We would love to have everyone join us after worship this Sunday for some fun time together to celebrate an awesome summer. RISE will provide burgers and hotdogs (and veggie alternatives) as well as can jam and corn hole; We encourage you to bring your favorite picnic side dish and/or dessert or maybe another fun lawn or board game to share! Hang out with us, enjoy some outdoor games, maybe a round of disc golf…who knows what kind of fun we might have :-) If you’re able, please let folks know what you plan to bring using this perfect potluck sheet!

Summer “Sittings”

Pale Fire Brewery, Lower Patio (inside if rain)

We have been LOVING hanging out with you all each week. If you have not made it to one of the Sittings yet we highly encourage you to join us! This is an awesome time of connection, contemplation, and getting to know each other a little bit better! There is no “agenda” - just openness, availability, and community :-)
Don’t already know about The Sitting? You know how some people have “standing” appointments or office hours? Well, since we always need to do things just a little bit differently, we took that idea and decided to try having some “sitting” hours this summer. Everyone is invited to join Alexis and/or Chris at Pale Fire on Wednesday nights throughout the summer. We meet outside on the lower patio (or inside in the event of rain) so we can enjoy the music of the Harrisonburg Summer Concerts next door at Turner Pavilion (Information about the concert series can be found HERE.) Whether you have some burning theological questions or you just want to hang out and enjoy some music with friends, we’ll be there and happy to chat!

We believe that being in and amidst nature helps us to better connect with our creator, and wanted to provide a few opportunities for folks to get connected in this way throughout the summer!
Sunday, August 11 - Hillandale Park Loop
We will head over to Hillandale immediately after worship to get a change of scenery and spend some time together outside and moving our bodies walking the the 1.4 mile loop. Great for Kids! Lead by Alexis.
One More Summer
GaME Night
Thursday, August 15 - 6 pm, Brother’s Brewery.
Our 3rd and final game night of the summer will be on Thursday August 15th at Brothers Craft Brewery! Feel free to bring a friend, your favorite game, and any food/sharing snacks as you wish! (Drinks are of course available for purchase :-)
Summer Worship

Join us for worship and theological reflection on Sunday mornings! Our summer worship space features ample shelter to protect from the elements, plenty of nearby parking, accessible (paved) walkways leading directly to the pavilion, picnic tables/benches, lots of green and open space, and adjoining bathrooms. Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket if preferred!
NOTE - At this point, we are still working to confirm worship arrangements for the Fall, but it is currently our intention to return to EMU. Stay tuned for updates!
