Take a moment and count the number of hygiene items you used today. Perhaps you washed your hair with shampoo, soothed your dry eyes with eye drops, used lotion on dry winter skin, changed a diaper for your three-year-old daughter, grabbed a band-aid out of the medicine cabinet for a paper cut...
Now imagine needing each of these things and not having access to any of them.
RISE and Shine seeks to provide much needed hygiene items to community members in need. Below is a list of items that we collect and redistribute on a weekly basis:
- Diapers (especially sizes 5 and 6)
- Laundry detergent (powder is best)
- Toilet paper
How can you help?
Drop donations off at the RISE Mission House (690 S. Mason St.) or bring them to worship on Sundays at Court Square Theater at exactly 10(ish). Or, purchase items from our Amazon.com wish list and they'll be shipped right to us!
If you (or someone you know) need hygiene items, stop by the RISE Mission House between noon and 2:00 pm on the first Sunday of each month.
Thank you for considering a donation. As your mother would say, "A little soap goes a long way..."
